KNOWSTRIDE / POLICIES

Terms of Service

The ground rules for using KnowStride and managing your onboarding workspace.

Last updated

About the service

KnowStride is a project onboarding service operated by the KnowStride project team, based in Germany. It helps workspace owners organize project knowledge, invite people, and create onboarding programs with AI-generated lessons and quizzes.

These terms apply when you use KnowStride, including its workspaces, document uploads, connected knowledge sources, learning programs and assessments. Use the service only if you can accept these terms and are authorized to act for the workspace you manage.

Accounts and workspace responsibilities

Keep your account information accurate and your sign-in access secure. Do not share access with unauthorized people. Contact us if you suspect misuse of your account.

Workspace owners manage invitations, source selection, programs and access. They must have the rights and permissions needed to upload CVs, documents or other material and connect external accounts. Owners are responsible for informing participants about the onboarding process and how their information will be used.

Workspace owners can access invitee profiles, participation activity, learning progress, submitted answers and assessment results. Workspace admins can see the same information; viewers can see progress and results but not CV-derived profiles. Participants should raise workspace-specific access or content questions with their owner, or contact the KnowStride project team for support.

Your content and permissions

You and other content owners retain your rights in material supplied to KnowStride. You grant permission to store, process and transmit that material only to provide the service, including importing selected knowledge, generating learning content and evaluating assessment answers through service providers. This is not a transfer of content ownership.

Do not upload material you are not allowed to use. Avoid secrets, access credentials and sensitive personal data in CVs, documents, connected sources and assessment answers. Review and minimize what you provide, and respect the confidentiality and intellectual property of other people and organizations.

Do not redistribute other people’s data, private workspace information or source material without their permission. Connecting a source does not give you new rights to its contents.

AI output and human judgment

AI-generated lessons, quizzes, feedback and evaluations may be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for a particular role or project. They are learning aids, not authoritative professional advice or a guarantee of competence.

Workspace owners and users must apply human review, check important information against reliable sources and correct errors before relying on it. Do not use KnowStride scores or AI evaluations for solely automated hiring decisions or other significant decisions about a person. An accountable person should review the relevant context and exercise their own judgment.

Reasonable use and security

Use KnowStride lawfully and with consideration for other users. Do not attempt unauthorized access, bypass security or access controls, introduce malware, disrupt the service or use it to violate another person’s rights.

We may restrict access to address abuse, security risks or unlawful use. Where appropriate, we will explain the restriction and help resolve it through support. Do not test security in a way that could expose or damage other people’s data; report suspected vulnerabilities to our contact email.

Free service and future changes

KnowStride is currently free to use. There are no current fees, paid subscriptions or payments to KnowStride. If paid plans are introduced, their prices and conditions will be announced before any purchase; these terms do not authorize a future charge.

Features may change and the service may be interrupted for maintenance or other reasons. Keep copies of important original material. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that AI output will always be correct. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory legal rights or limits liability where the law does not allow it.

Ending use and deletion requests

You may stop using KnowStride at any time. For workspace access or removal from a program, contact your workspace owner. For account closure, termination of service use or a deletion request, contact the KnowStride project team at the email below.

Ending access or disconnecting an integration does not necessarily remove information already held in a workspace. We will review deletion requests in light of the workspace owner’s responsibilities, the purpose of retaining the data and applicable legal obligations.

How information is used and retained is described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service develops. The date above identifies the current wording. Material changes will be communicated through the service or an appropriate contact channel. Any future purchase will have its terms and price stated beforehand.

For questions about these terms, contact the KnowStride project team. These terms do not override protections or remedies available under applicable law.
